No. SEND Workflow Studio is not a separate cloud platform or online portal. The systems are Excel-based and are designed to sit within the provision’s own Microsoft environment.

Learner data remains within the provision’s own systems and Microsoft environment. SEND Workflow Studio does not host a separate pupil database or require learner information to be stored on an external SWS platform.

Yes. The Life Skills Assessment and Subject-Specific Assessment systems can be configured around your provision’s own curriculum structure, levels, pathways, success criteria and assessment language.

Yes. Generic SWS curriculum frameworks are available for Life Skills, English and Maths. These can be used as a starting point, adapted during setup, or replaced with your provision’s own curriculum content.

The systems are built from established SWS templates, but implementation can be adapted around the needs of the setting. Some systems, such as the Annual Review System, usually need minimal variation. Others, such as Life Skills Assessment and Subject-Specific Assessment, can be configured more heavily around curriculum and reporting needs.

Implementation usually includes a discovery conversation, system selection, curriculum or framework setup where needed, deployment, staff guidance and follow-up support. The aim is to make sure the system works in practice, not just that the files are installed.
